Meet Your Physician Advocate

Dr Jenaya Calderilla is originally from southern California. She attended the University of Maryland College Park, completing her bachelor’s degree in physiology and neurobiology with a minor in biochemistry. She then obtained her medical degree at Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating with honors. She was also inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society which recognizes physicians who make a lifelong commitment to uphold the highest standards of humanistic care.

Upon completion of medical school, Dr. Jenaya returned to southern California to complete her internship and residency training. She has remained in southern California as a board-certified practicing physician covering a diverse spectrum of primary care subspecialties including family practice, urgent care, complex/chronic illness management, regenerative medicine, wound care, hospital medicine, intensive care, post-acute and sub-acute care, rural medicine, and hospice.

Dr Jenaya is using her experiences, both personally and professionally, to offer a comprehensive and holistic physician-patient advocacy service. The goal is to provide an individualized approach to navigating the healthcare system for patients or caregivers experiencing a complex illness or major health event.
